Overview
The Research committee aims to conduct an active advocacy program to promote and support research done by faculty and students. It directs potential researcher to focus on health and medical research, including public health and health awareness and the latest trends and issues in the profession of pharmacy.
Scope Of Activities

Develop a profile of staff with their respective research experiences

Conduct training needs analysis of staff on updated research methodologies;

Organize annual training course in research methodologies

Develop collaborative research project in collaboration with other institutions

Reinforce the conduct of research in teaching and learning, and in clinical practices

Review the research proposals based on the standards and regulations before submitting the proposal to the research and ethics committee at DGET/concerned department

Establish a database of educational and professional research conducted by the institute faculty including articles published by them
-
Facilitate and encourage the sharing of professional knowledge and information between faculty and practitioners
-
Monitor the implementation of the related activities that are included in the institute Operational Plan (2013-2018).

Overview
The CPD committee provides opportunities for staff to develop their capacities and potentials in the field of pharmacy education and practice. Continuing professional development (CPD) involves maintaining and enhancing the knowledge, skills and experience related to professional activities and development of those personal qualities that are required for carrying out professional and technical duties during a professional’s life.

Overview
The committee provides individual counseling services, to overcome and cope with the challenges/difficulties that interfere with the academic performance of the students. They also focus on the emotional, intellectual, spiritual, physical, and social development of students. Special attention is given to students who are experiencing psychological problems.

Overview
The committee aims is to keep the faculty and the students in the institute safe and prevent from accident, injury or disease. It also includes training of staff and students in accident prevention, emergency preparedness and use of protective clothing and equipment. The Community Outreach Program gives students the opportunity to get involved in community service on a regular basis, with projects to choose from.

Overview
The committee aims to provide opportunities for students and staff to be engaged in extracurricular activities that instill extra recognition towards profession and thereby leading towards holistic development of an individual. Extracurricular activities provide them the platform to participate in diverse activities. These events are coordinated and organized by students themselves under close supervision of the faculty members. This aims to nourish students’ positive life values and attitudes, to develop students’ leadership skills, organizational skills and collaboration.

Overview
The committee aims at overseeing that the assessment practices are planned and implemented according to the policies and are fit for purpose.
Scope of activities

Develop an assessment plan for written tests at the beginning of each semester as per the assessment guidelines (August 2003)

Ensure that an examination blueprint is prepared for each course as per types of questions, level of objectives and time spent

Review and approve examination papers prepared by the course teacher(s) to ensure appropriate construction and proper distribution of questions as per examination blueprint

Ensure that all stages in the preparation and processing of examination papers are conducted under strict confidentiality

Ensure that test items are analyzed periodically and modified accordingly

Overview
The committee aims to liaise between the institute and the service institution in matters related to students learning experience and assessment of student performance, to ensure that the clinical environment is conducive to learning. The role of this committee is to support the clinical and theoretical experience of the students by providing relevant and evidence based practice to help them to be globally competent and confident future pharmacists.
