Oman Pharmacy Institute is an educational institution aimed at graduating Omani pharmacists capable of serving their country. The Institute is not only aimed at developing the scientific and research capabilities of students, but is also looking to develop their mental capacities and connect them to their society. Students' activity is considered an ideal respite for students to practice sports, technical and social activities. In recognition of the importance of student activity in the institute, the institute encourages students to elect a "student union" council representing them. Three committees emerge from this council: sports, technical and social. A coordinator of each committee is elected from the Student Union Council.

The full coordination between the Student Council and the College Administration is represented by the Dean of the Institute, Dr. Mustafa Fahmy and the Director of the Institute, Kamel Al Siyabi. The student council should choose one member of the faculty as a supervisor for each of the three activities.

Free annual elections are held for each team to select three members according to an advertised schedule for each team. The elected student council is chaired by the Dean directly on the following day to elect the members of the Council, including the Secretary General of the Council, an assistant secretary and three coordinators for the student activities.

 Tasks of the Student Council:

- To express the views of the students and their wishes and suggestions to the administration of the Institute.
- To reflect the students of the Institute among the students of the other institutes
- To link between the administration of the Institute, the students and society
- Practicing, organizing and supervising student activities
 

Committees of student activities:

- Cultural and Professional Commission: It deals with the artistic and cultural activity of the students, including the selection of the ideal student of       the Institute.
- Social Committee: concerned with the social aspects of the students and to discuss their wishes and study their disabilities outside the Institute.
- Sports Committee and trips: means sports activities in the Institute and conduct sports competitions with other institutes and make trips for           entertainment students.
