Research Activities

The Research Committee (RC) of the Common Foundation Program (CFP) is chaired by one of the English teaching faculty and has the HoE and other teaching staff as members. The Committee endeavors to enhance the reputation of the Foundation Program in the areas of ‘reflective practice’ and ‘action research’ as both, in their various forms, are considered to be critical dimensions of the professional development of teachers. The RC encourages and acknowledges the efforts of faculty engage in research in the fields of ELT, IT and Math. The RC undertakes the following functions: 
  1. Provide the best possible atmosphere for conducting research and ensures that research activities are useful for the FPs teaching and learning process.
  2. Ensure that staff is given the required support and necessary guidance in conducting research and getting their work published.
  3. Facilitates the establishment and maintenance of links with other colleges and centers regarding inter-disciplinary research.
  4. Assist staff in obtaining and utilizing internal funding for research projects. 
The committee’s mission is aligned with the DGET Research Committee’s annual plan.
