Research activities of the institute are led by Research Committee in collaboration with the Research Committee of the Directorate of Human Resource Development. It has been quintessentially edified to coincide with OSNI vision at which to create and support a vibrant research culture and mission of building and expanding research infrastructure within faculty members. Research capacity building activities were strengthened through series of research workshops facilitated by research experts. These activities were seen as not only a key driver for faculty development but also a necessity for facilitating the building of the relevant academic and health care innovation culture. The faculty of the institute are currently working on their specialty- based- research projects. Research committee conducted a needs analysis which gave a synopsis of further areas needed by the faculty for research involvement. Hence, pathway blueprint formulated and competitive niche are foreseen and to be sustained.
