Associate Dean's Message
Welcome to Oman College of Health Sciences – North Sharqiyah branch (OCHS-NSh) Website. This website provides essential information about the branch and helps you learn more about its academic program, academic faculty, and more. The website has been designed to help students, alumni, and stakeholders to have access to relevant documents and up-to-date information about our branch in North Sharqyia.
Our goal is to produce reflective Omani nurses who are equipped with all the necessary knowledge and skills and who can provide effective, safe, competent and culturally relevant care to the community. We are determined to prepare Omani nurses who are committed to lifelong learning, who can impact the health system positively and provide quality health services.
We are proud of what we have achieved so far and to what our graduated have achieved. The graduates’ ability to play their expected roles within the health care team, in various health care institutions in North Sharqiyah governorate and other governorates as well as in other places such as OMSB, Alsharqyia University, and Ministry of Defense, is a proof of our accomplishments. The profile of our graduates who have already pursued higher education as well as those who have exhibited their leadership qualities in various service sectors is testimony enough of our success.
While we continue to deliver quality training and education, we keep a keen eye on the future as well. We are actively engaged in quality assurance, curriculum planning and reviewing and we are incorporating the latest in educational technology. We have an advanced nursing simulation lab that gives students and trainees risk-free practice.
The North Sharqiyah Branch is privileged to have well-qualified faculty with vast experience in nursing education and other disciplines. The faculty believes that assisting students to learn and succeed depends on inherited professional values and an educational environment that fosters professionalism, innovation, active learning, and caring which are guided by the principles of quality and improvement.
We accept mainly students from the wilayats of North Sharqiyah governorate and sometimes from Alwasta governorate. The branch invites you to browse our website to know more about us and revisit it often for updates on academic issues, training activities, special events, and other news about INI.
