Overview
The Committee aims to foster the quality culture among faculty, staff and students, so that the actions of its staff and students are inspired by a desire to continuously improve their practice. The committee also makes sure that the appropriate procedures or processes are in place. Quality Assurance denotes to practices whereby academic standards are preserved and enhanced.

Overview
The committee aims at overseeing that the assessment practices are planned and implemented according to the policies and are fit for purpose.
Scope of Activities

Develop an assessment plan for written tests at the beginning of each semester as per the assessment guidelines.

Ensure that an examination blueprint is prepared for each course as per types of questions, level of objectives and time spent;
-
Review and approve examination papers prepared by the course teacher(s) to ensure appropriate construction and proper distribution of questions as per examination blueprint;
-
Ensure that all stages in the preparation and processing of examination papers are conducted under strict confidentiality;

Ensure that test items are analyzed periodically and modified accordingly.

Overview
The Staff Development committee provides opportunities for staff to develop their capacities and potentials in the field of nursing education and practice. Continuing professional development (CPD) involves maintaining and enhancing the knowledge, skills and experience related to professional activities and development of those personal qualities that are required for carrying out professional and technical duties during a professional’s life.
Scope of Activities

Identify training needs for faculty and staff members;

Prepare an annual plan for continuing education activities and annual statistics;

Prepare and conduct workshops and CPD activities in collaboration with the concerned parties;

Identify trainers from the college and from other departments to contribute to the CPD activities;

Evaluate the CPD activities;

Document the CPD activities for future reference.

Overview
The Community Outreach committee aims to give students the opportunity to get involved in community service on a regular basis, with projects to choose from. The Extracurricular Activities committee aims to provide opportunities for students and staff to be engaged in extracurricular activities that instill extra recognition towards the profession and thereby leading towards the holistic development of an individual. Extracurricular activities provide them the platform to participate in diverse activities. These events are coordinated and organized by students themselves under close supervision of the faculty members. This aims to nourish students’ positive life values and attitudes, to develop students’ leadership skills, organizational skills and collaboration.

Overview
The Research committee aims to conduct an active advocacy program to promote and support research done by faculty and students. It directs the potential researcher to focus on health and medical research, including public health and health awareness and the latest trends and issues in the profession of nursing.
Scope of Activities

Develop a profile of staff with their respective research experiences;

Conduct training needs analysis of staff on updated research methodologies;

Organize annual training course in research methodologies;

Develop collaborative research project in collaboration with other institutions;

Reinforce the conduct of research in teaching and learning, and in clinical practices;

Review the research proposals based on the standards and regulations before submitting the proposal to the research and ethics committee at DGHS/concerned department;

Establish a database of educational and professional research conducted by the college faculty including articles published by them;

Facilitate and encourage the sharing of professional knowledge and information between faculty and practitioners;

Monitor the implementation of the related activities that are included in the college Operational Plan.

Overview
The committee provides individual counseling services, to overcome and cope with the challenges/difficulties that interfere with the academic performance of the students. They also focus on the emotional, intellectual, spiritual, physical, and social development of students. Special attention is given to students who are experiencing psychological problems.

Overview

Scope of Activities

Help students to identify their potentials and capabilities to meet their educational needs;

Assist students to independently monitor their progress toward achieving their learning objectives;

Investigate issues pertinent to student’s low academic performance and to provide guidance;

Coordinate with respective section(s) to develop remedial teaching plans for students with low academic achievement;

Monitor students’ progress and keep their records;

Clarify academic policies, college regulations, program requirements, procedures, and other college information as required. Be accessible and available to students to respond to their questions and concerns;

Maintain professional integrity, confidentiality, respect, and sensitivity in advising; and
-
Inform students of the roles and responsibilities of the advisor/student relationship.
