Program Overview

The MoHEIs offer various health professional education to cater the need for health care workforce. The programs target the Omani high school leavers or equivalent interested to peruse their career in the health fields. The undergraduate programs are four-year duration (Eight regular semesters). The graduates of these programs are awarded baccalaureate degree in the field of their study which in line with Oman Qualification Framework. Currently the institutes run seven undergraduate programs in the field of nursing, pharmacy, medical laboratory, physiotherapy, oral health, medical imaging, and health 


The undergraduate programs prepare students with grounded knowledge in humanity, basic sciences, health sciences and discipline related sciences. The programs constitutes two main components: Intuitional requirements (Compulsory & Electives), and discipline related courses. The media of instruction is English and therefore prospective students are required to achieve proficiency in English and addition to mathematics and IT. These are common requirements to all and are considered prerequisite for joining the academic programs. Students who do not fulfill these requirement are required to join the foundation program.
