Overview

The research and community service committee is aimed to:
o Appraise the students’ and staff projects and research activities and facilitate the implementation of research projects and activities.
o Enhance the students and staff engagement in outreach community activities.

Scope of Activities

• The committee oversees and supervises the implementation of research and community outreach projects and activities. The committee works as liaison between the branch’s students and faculty and community professional and non-professional organizations to ensure successful conduction of research activities and implementation of community health-related services and activities.

Overview

The OCHS-SB staff development committee is tasked to promote the culture of life-long learning to all staff within the college’s branch and to equip the staff with up to date information, skills, and competencies that relevant to nursing education.

Scope of Activities

• Guided by need assessment, the committee plans educational and training activities that address current trends in education and nursing filed to ensure that staff are well prepared to face emerging challenges. The committee collaborate with local and national organizations and experts to execute training programs.

Overview

The OCHS-SB learning resources committee aims to ensure that adequate and appropriate learning resources are made available to the students to foster their learning experiences.

Scope of Activities

• The committee ensure provision of adequate supplies of learning and educational materials and equipment in the library, nursing laboratory, computer laboratories, and classrooms through collaboration with the branch’s Administration and Finance section.

Overview

The OCHS-SB examination committee is delegated to facilitate and monitor the proper preparation and conduction of examinations, following the college’s examination bylaw, standards, and regulations.

Scope of Activities

• The committee ensures that all stages of preparing and processing the examinations are implemented as per the college’s standards and regulations of examination. The committee oversees the conduction of examination, invigilation, and storage of examinations as well.

Overview

The OCHS-SB Health and Safety Committee monitors the implementation of the college, Ministry of Health (MoH), and Civil Defense health and safety policies and regulations to ensure that the branch’s facilities are safe for both students and employees.

Scope of Activities

• The committee continuously monitors the adherence of students and staff to health and safety guidelines and protocols. The committee collaborates with local civil defense, hospital’s infection control unit, and local governmental health institutions to create a healthy and safe environment for students and staff in the branch.
